This presentation will showcase how the AIHC Mentor Program created a safe and supportive environment to connect like-minded peers with shared common values. The program offered resources for both personal and professional development, while providing motivational support to advance interprofessional education (IPE) initiatives and academic-community partnerships. Mentorship and coaching afford participants the opportunity to reflect on activities through a new lens, thoughtfully question and reframe ideas, challenge traditional practices, develop innovative ideas, overcome roadblocks, develop creative solutions, foster self-awareness, and grow professionally.

This presentation will address how participation in the AIHC Mentor Program served as a catalyst for leadership refinement in interprofessional education. Mentoring conversations and structured learning modules contributed to perspective expansion beyond siloed thinking and adoption of an open and adaptive leadership mindset. Mentorship cultivated a reflective and collaborative space to engage with external institutional peers, challenge long-standing practices, and explore new literature. These experiences directly informed leadership abilities to comprehensively redesign institutional interprofessional education.

This presentation will feature how participation in the AIHC Mentor Program fostered leadership growth and informed the redesign of interprofessional education to better serve learners and, ultimately, improve care delivery. Attendees will be provided with a real-world example of how structured mentorship can directly enhance interprofessional education design and delivery.
