Adrienne Lindsey, DBH, MA

Dr. Lindsey serves as Assistant Professor at the University of Texas Health San Antonio, and Director of the Center for Substance Use Training & Telementoring. She has previously served as Principal Investigator on federal and state substance use disorder-related training grants including a SAMHSA-funded SBIRT student training grant, a SAMHSA-funded buprenorphine waiver training grant (PCSS-Universities), and the State Opioid Response (SOR) and State Targeted Response (STR) initiatives. Dr. Lindsey's areas of expertise include patient-centered communication techniques, SBIRT, integrated healthcare, and medications for substance use disorders. Her work can be characterized as workforce development and dissemination in the interprofessional addictions space.

The Integrative Clinical Care Experience in Rural Texas (ICCERT) is a HRSA-funded, interprofessional initiative designed to increase the capacity of physician assistant (PA) students to identify, treat, and manage substance use disorders (SUD) in rural communities.
