Aissatou Diallo is a Student Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine candidate at the University of New England with a strong foundation in Biochemistry and Medical Physiology. With years of hands-on research experience at institutions like Biogen, MGH, and Boston University, Aissatou has expertise in molecular biology, gene therapy, and advanced lab techniques. As a dedicated educator and community volunteer, she also serves as a genetics and Anatomy and Physiology professor and Tutor but also a multilingual interpreter. Recognized among “29 Who Shine” in Massachusetts, she is passionate about helping others and making a positive impact in healthcare.

Background:Racism in healthcare is a persistent problem that can manifest as overt discrimination or subtly as implicit biases. Historically, systemic racism in healthcare has caused trauma among certain racialized groups and structural barriers to health access further perpetuate racial inequities and disparities.
