While at Quinnipiac University, Anna N Carlson developed a semester long course on the role of OT in End of Life Care and teaches experiential-based courses. Teaching experiential courses led to an interest in transformational and interprofessional learning to facilitate knowledge transfer from the curriculum to clinical practice. Throughout her clinical career in homecare & hospice she has been an advocate for the value of occupational therapy interventions in end-of-life care. She has presented workshops on the role of OT in End of Life Care at conferences and is the founding co-chair of the AOTA Palliative Care Community of Practice.
