Courtney Andrews has been practicing as a speech language pathologist with a special focus in adult neurological disorders since 2012. In 2017 she began working as a clinical educator at East Tennessee State University training future SLPs. In 2024 she earned a Doctorate in Higher Education with a focus on leadership and administration. Her dissertation focused on Interprofessional Education and Practice and this is the focus of her current research as an Assistant Professor in a Rehabilitation Sciences BS Program at ETSU.

This lightning talk describes the creation of an interprofessional faculty fellowship through the collaboration of a College of Health Sciences and a Center for Interprofessional Collaboration at a state university. We cover the rationale, logistics (finances & faculty time allotment/distribution), proposed structure and intended measurable outcomes for success of the program.Recent publications have called for the systematic approach to advancing IPE research, suggesting findings should have reproducibility, replicability, and generalizability of findings (Gunaldo et al. 2023).
