Daniel Bluestein MD, MS, CMD-R, AGSF-R served as geriatrics division director for Eastern Virginia Medical School’s Department of Family Medicine, until his retirement in 2019 as professor emeritus. Dr Bluestein is presently adjunct professor in the Virginia Geriatric Education Center, Virginia Center on Aging, VCU College of Health Professions. He serves in the conduct of varied educational and programmatic development initiatives concerning primary care of dementia, age-friendly health systems, and brain health. He works in support of the Virginia GWEP’s CIRCAA program and as geriatric consultant for the Virginia Memory Project, one of 4 statewide dementia registries nationally.
