A first-generation Afro-Mexicano physician, he draws inspiration from his immigrant grandparents’ challenges navigating the healthcare system. Dr. Ellis has held national leadership roles with the SNMA and LMSA, championing culturally responsive care and inclusive medical education. He is committed to mentoring future physicians and advancing systemic change to build a healthcare workforce that truly reflects and serves all communities.
