Heather B Congdon, PharmD, CDCES, FNAP is a Professor at the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy and the Director for the Center of Interprofessional Education at the University of Maryland, Baltimore. In her role as Director, Dr. Congdon works with three Co-Directors to provide oversite of the interprofessional education curriculum at the university, in the classroom, simulation, and experiential settings. For her work in IPE, Dr. Congdon and her team were awarded the 2020 George E. Thibault, MD Nexus Award for extraordinary contributions to the Nexus: Redesigning both healthcare education and healthcare delivery.

This active engagement seminar is designed to guide participants through tangible considerations in the development, implementation, and evolution of quality interprofessional education (IPE) at an academic institution or clinical training site.
