Dr. Jacob Greenfield, OTD, OTR/L, is a faculty member at WVU with a clinical background in neurorehabilitation and specialties in stroke, TBI, SCI, and sexuality. He leads IPE initiatives for occupational therapy students, co-facilitates the IPE Poverty Simulation, and advises Project MUSHROOM, a student-led street medicine group. He serves on the WVU Health Sciences IPE Steering Committee and DEI initiatives. Clinically, he supports neuro-oncology patients in the WVU Brain Tumor Clinic, integrating rehab into survivorship care. Dr. Greenfield is passionate about advancing collaborative, inclusive care models through interprofessional education and community-engaged practice.

This lightning talk will discuss what impact that an interprofessional street medicine learning opportunity had on the future careers of health professionals. By exposing students to vulnerable populations, like the unhoused population, students gained insight into their unique needs and how an interprofessional team can perform in a nontraditional setting.
