Jenny Marie Jobe is a graduate of Emmanuel College (Boston, MA) with a B.S. in Biology and Sociology. She is currently an OMS-III at the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine. She is devoted to advocating for health equity and hopes to serve as an innovator in expanding the ways that policies and healthcare systems work in the favor of patients and better health outcomes.

Background:Racism in healthcare is a persistent problem that can manifest as overt discrimination or subtly as implicit biases. Historically, systemic racism in healthcare has caused trauma among certain racialized groups and structural barriers to health access further perpetuate racial inequities and disparities.
