Dr. Jung Kwak is an Associate Professor and Ed and Molly Smith Centennial Fellow at the UT Austin School of Nursing. A gerontologist and nationally recognized scholar, she is a Fellow of the Gerontological Society of America and the National Academies of Practice. Her research focuses on implementing and evaluating psychosocial interventions to support caregiving, improve care transitions, and promote well-being among people living with dementia and their care partners. She also leads curriculum development to strengthen dementia care competencies among health profession students.

Background: Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Dementias (ADRD) require coordinated, person- and family-centered care. Yet, interprofessional education (IPE) on chronic disease management remains underutilized in health professions training.
