Kailee Havrda, MPH CNP is an Advanced Learner with IPE and Doctorate of Public Health student in Health Service Management and Policy at ETSU. Her research is focused on addressing systemic and policy-level concerns around patient experience and Social Determinants of Health, in access and treatment in mental health and emergency medicine within urban and rural areas. Kailee leverages interprofessional education and collaboration in her studies and through IPE courses to spread awareness and skills to other medical professions to create a united workforce to better patient-centered care and workforce collaboration/communication. She will utilize interprofessional skills and collaboration in her pursuit of policy advocacy and healthcare management.

Background, including statement of problem, and aims:The WHO (2010) called for preparing faculty to facilitate IPE. However, faculty feel ill-prepared to facilitate IPE (Ratka et al., 2017). Most health professions students are not trained as IPE facilitators. IPE Programs are challenged to hire faculty ready to facilitate IPE. Hoffman, Harris and Rosenfield (2009) have outlined the importance of mentorship in IPE.
