Dr. Kara Doucet, DNP, APRN, AGACNP-BC, CCRN, is an Assistant Professor of Nursing at the University of Southern Indiana, where she teaches in the Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program. She maintains active clinical practice as an APRN with a pulmonary and critical care medicine group. With over 15 years of intensive care experience, Dr. Doucet brings substantial clinical expertise to her teaching. She is passionate about interprofessional education, clinical leadership, and preparing advanced practice students for real-world practice. Dr. Doucet is engaged in APP education, quality improvement, and interdisciplinary initiatives that advance professional advocacy and enhance patient care outcomes.

This poster presents a qualitative educational initiative that explored how structured interprofessional collaboration between Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP) and Respiratory Therapy (RT) students enhances communication, teamwork, and collaborative care planning.
