Kstricklett@creighton.edu Kate Martens Stricklett is a Program Manager for the Creighton Univerisity Center for Interprofessional Practice, Education and Research, (CIPER) where she oversees the implementation of interprofessional education curriculum to meet accreditation standards across nine health professions programs. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Community Health Education with high distinction from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln and an Master of Science degree in Gerontology from the University of Missouri–St. Louis. Her graduate work included a Nebraska nursing home administrator's license and a certificate in nonprofit leadership and management. She held an active Long-Term Care Administrator’s license from 2002–2020 and holds several certifications in affordable housing including; a Specialist in Housing Credit Management (SHCM) and a Certified Occupancy Specialist (COS).

Interprofessional education (IPE) assessment is inherently complex and prickly. Challenges arise from the need to analyze data across diverse health professions, various levels of learners, numerous learning environments (e.g. classroom, simulation, clinical practice) and in contexts where competence in teams and teamwork, rather than individual performance, are the focus of evaluation. This complexity is compounded by the wide range of learning activities used to meet interprofessional competencies and the substantial time required for faculty to meaningfully review large volumes of data.
