Kathryn K. Neill, PharmD, CCMS, FNAP is the Associate Provost for Academics and Director of Interprofessional Administrative and Curricular Affairs for the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. After receiving her PharmD, she completed a fellowship in Neuropharmacology and practiced as a Pulmonary and Critical Care Specialist for the UAMS Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU). Dr. Neill chairs a team of more than 40 faculty to design, deliver, and assess a campus-wide interprofessional graduation requirement for 73 degree programs.

Introduction: Faculty burnout and student distress are reaching a crisis point in healthcare education. The causes are multiple and global. Recent data show that 64% of faculty experience work-related burnout, with 19% reporting a high degree and 15% a very high degree of burnout. Students are navigating persistent post-pandemic fatigue, mental health concerns, financial pressures, and academic challenges.
