Katie Zander, DNP, APRN is a dual certified pediatric nurse practitioner and full-time faculty with Creighton University College of Nursing. She teaches in the accelerated nursing program across the curriculum. Her passion is in pediatrics and educating the next generation of healthcare professionals. She received her bachelors in 2004, a MSN in 2009, a post master's certificate from Creighton University in 2021 and her DNP in 2024. She has worked as a pediatric nurse practitioner in multiple settings including, leadership, neurosurgery, hospitalist, rehabilitation, and primary care.  Her scholarship focus is in interprofessional education and pediatrics.

The Creighton Interprofessional Collaborative Evaluation (C-ICE) tool plays a key role in assessing students' ability to demonstrate the Interprofessional Education Collaborative (IPEC) Core Competencies within both clinical and simulated settings. The C-ICE is recognized as the only instrument to assess behavioral change in a team's performance, evaluating collaboration, leadership, and communication skills.
