Kristi Andreski Price, LMSW received her MSW from Wayne State in 2015 and currently serves as the Clinical Interprofessional Education Program Manager for Wayne State's School of Social Work, where she is also a part time faculty member teaching in the BSW and MSW programs. Kristi also teaches an interprofessional education course with other health science faculty within the WSU campus and is an IPE faculty champion for the Michigan Area Health Education Center (AHEC) Scholars Program.

The role of the medical examiner’s office (MEO) is to determine the cause, mechanism, and manner of death for violent, sudden, or unexpected deaths. At Wayne County’s MEO in Detroit, Michigan, the office handles approximately 17,300 death investigations per year, with over 3,500 cases accepted for examination. An organization that sees deaths due to homicide, suicide, and accidental overdoses, the MEO makes for opportune social work intervention due to stigmatized grief.
