Kwaku Duah Oppong, MPH, BSN, RN, is a registered nurse, public health specialist, educator, and early-career researcher committed to advancing healthcare quality, patient-centered decision-making, and dementia caregiving support. He is a doctoral candidate at the University of Texas at Austin School of Nursing, where he is actively engaged in research on improving healthcare transitions for persons living with dementia (PLWD) and their family caregivers, specifically family caregiver decision-making experiences.

Background: Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Dementias (ADRD) require coordinated, person- and family-centered care. Yet, interprofessional education (IPE) on chronic disease management remains underutilized in health professions training.
