Kylie Gagan, RN, BSN, MHD, is the Director of Education at the Association of Migraine Disorders, where she leads patient and provider education initiatives and develops interprofessional programming. Kylie combines her nursing background and Master’s in Headache Disorders to advance migraine education and awareness. She collaborates across disciplines to support continuing education, foster partnerships, and elevate underrepresented voices in headache medicine.

More individuals complain about headaches than any other condition. Headaches are disorders without a biological marker; the diagnosis is based on history and symptoms. Migraine is the third most prevalent disorder affecting 15% of Americans. As the most stigmatized neurological disease, society and media view it as just a bad headache, instead of a debilitating and disabling disease.
