Lindsay Taylor, M.S., PA-C, is an Assistant Professor who joined Eastern Michigan University in January 2020. She is a certified Physician Assistant with over 15 years of clinical experience, including Emergency Medicine and Urgent Care. Her scholarly interests include wellness initiatives, interprofessional education, and innovations in physician assistant education and training.

This Lightning Talk will describe how clinical reasoning was applied collaboratively in an interprofessional education (IPE) workshop involving Physician Assistant (PA) and Medical Laboratory Science (MLS) students. Rising maternal death rates in the United States necessitates the improvement in quality of care for postpartum patients. Health outcomes are improved by interprofessional practice and collaborative communication.
