Dr. Lorie Sigmon specializes in interprofessional collaborative care, developing high-functioning healthcare teams to improve quality, safety, and patient outcomes. With extensive Team STEPPS and interprofessional team development training, she leads collaborative initiatives benefiting vulnerable and rural populations.
Her research examines how teams impact healthcare costs and outcomes, combining clinical experience from critical care to rural health settings. As an educator, she trains students and healthcare professionals in collaborative care delivery, developing curricula, and leading community health initiatives.
