Dr. Mallory Kargela is an associate professor in the Augustana Doctor of Physical Therapy Program and a board-certified cardiovascular and pulmonary clinical specialist. She maintains clinical practice treating patients with acute and chronic cardiopulmonary conditions. Her publications focus on physical therapy management in acute and subacute care and clinical reasoning frameworks within DPT education. Kargela serves on the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties and the FSBPT Item-Writing Task Force. She is a continuing education reviewer for the Arizona Physical Therapy Association and an invited manuscript reviewer for The Clinical Teacher, Journal of Acute Care Physical Therapy, and Cardiopulmonary Physical Therapy Journal.
