Melissa Kirkwood is a graduate from the Master of Health Science program in Nutrition Communication, a research assistant at Toronto Metropolitan University and a Registered Dietitian. She has conducted literature reviews and concept analyses on the topics of refugees and immigrants and their mental health, well-being, and their healthcare needs. Additionally, her research interests include public health, transnational healthcare, food insecurity, human nutrition and overall well-being of diverse and vulnerable population groups.
