Sabine P Schmid, PhD, LP, is a clinical psychologist and associate professor in the Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences at the University of Minnesota. Her work is embedded in the mood disorders program, which investigates novel interdisciplinary interventions for depression. Dr. Schmid’s research interest is in the integration of cognitive-behavior therapy with emerging biological interventions.
Her clinical care approach is evidence-based with a core foundation in Cognitive Behavior Therapy and integrated with mindfulness and acceptance-based techniques. One of her biggest passions is clinical education. She directs her department’s Behavioral Sciences Education programming and leads interprofessional education efforts for trainees.
Presenting at the Nexus Summit:
This Seminar builds upon a Lightning Talk presented at the 2024 Nexus Summit. The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the University of Minnesota (UMN) Medical School has devoted a decade of effort toward bolstering its interprofessional education workforce. At the 2024 Summit, presenters shared results from a half-day workshop with faculty and learners on interprofessional collaborative practice.
