Sook Hyun Park is a PhD candidate in Quantitative Methods in Educational Psychology and a graduate research assistant at the Center for Health IPE at the University of Texas at Austin. She specializes in research design, test development, and data analysis for educational, psychological, and clinical assessments. Her research interests include latent growth modeling (LGM), cognitive diagnostic modeling (CDM), and item response theory (IRT). Recently, she has evaluated health interprofessional education (IPE) programs and conducted LGM studies using simulation and empirical data. Her work bridges methodological rigor and practical applications, contributing to advancements in test assessment and program evaluation.

Lack of or insufficient health insurance coverage affects access to care. The impact can be traumatic for both patients and those providing services. Preparing health professions students to address this issue by applying ecological systems theory (EST) and trauma-informed care (TIC) offers a novel approach to catalyze interprofessional collaboration around this challenge.
