Spencer Casella, PharmD, RPH. Assistant Professor at MCPHS University. Responsible for coordination and facilitation of the physical skills lab for the PharmD students for the P1 and P3 cohorts. I teach the expanded skills of the pharmacist: such as cardiology assessments, pulmonary assessments, diabetes education, contraceptive prescribing, and mental health education.

Objective: This study evaluates how incorporating an element of social drivers of Health into interprofessional Team Observed Structured Clinical Encounters (TOSCEs) impacts team performance, collaboration, and communication. Methods: TOSCEs included students from pharmacy, physician assistant and nursing programs. Students were assigned a peer-evaluated standardized-patient case focused on transitions of care, 30-minute cases were run 16 times, with 2-3 students/case. Case A involved a Black patient, while Case B involved a White patient.
