Susan Jenkins Lewando, PhD, RDH, is a Professor of Dental with Forsyth School of Dental Hygiene at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, where she has been a full-time faculty member since 2001. Throughout her tenure, Susan has collaborated with other disciplines on several interprofessional initiatives. She currently co-teaches Periodontology, Dental Materials, Capstone Leadership, and is an adjunct in the Pain Management Lab. She is a member of the American Dental Hygienists’ Association. She is a member of the Sigma Phi Alpha and Phi Kappa Phi Honor Societies, where she serves as the Public Relations Chair.

Objective: This study evaluates the impact of age on facilitator evaluations of team performance during interprofessional Team Observed Structured Clinical Encounters (TOSCEs). Methods: TOSCEs included students from pharmacy, physician assistant, dental hygiene, and nursing schools utilizing paid actors as standardized patients. Students were assigned 30 min peer-evaluated patient cases focused on interprofessional collaboration in a medical emergency involving opioid use. Cases were run 16 times with 2-3 learners per case.
