Susanne Barnett, PharmD, BCPS, FNAP, is an Associate Professor and Director of the Interprofessional Education Program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Pharmacy. In this role, Susie oversees administration of the School’s IPE Program, and continuous monitoring of the program’s quality. Dr. Barnett’s teaching is focused on experiential learning, infectious diseases, and interprofessional education. Her scholarly interests include the scholarship of teaching and learning focused within interprofessional education and quality assessment and improvement. Susie has >15 years’ experience as an inpatient pharmacist as a part of an interprofessional team.

This seminar will actively engage participants in a process of identifying interprofessional collaborative practice (ICP) competencies for graduates of health professions education programs (HPEP) and in designing curriculum that leads to achievement of those competencies. Description: The seminar discusses development of robust interprofessional education (IPE) plan evaluation. Presenters will share best practices and program-level examples from Schools/Colleges of Pharmacy that illustrate IPE plan evaluations using a continuous quality improvement (cQI) approach.
