Background: Mechanical thrombectomy is a life-saving intervention for acute ischemic stroke (AIS) and is increasingly performed by a range of specialists—including interventional radiologists (IR), neurointerventionalists (INR), neurosurgeons (NS), and interventional cardiologists (IC).
