Amber Ziese is a Clinical Education Assistant Professor with the West Virginia University School of Nursing. She has a Master of Science in Nursing degree with an emphasis in Nursing Education and is a Certified Nurse Educator. She has been a faculty advisor with Project MUSHROOM for 8 years and has an interest in medical-surgical and trauma nursing, leadership, and working with the unsheltered. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing and is the Leadership Succession Committee Chair for the Alpha Rho chapter.

This lightning talk will discuss what impact that an interprofessional street medicine learning opportunity had on the future careers of health professionals. By exposing students to vulnerable populations, like the unhoused population, students gained insight into their unique needs and how an interprofessional team can perform in a nontraditional setting.
