Dr. Ashlesha (Ashley) Shah Parikh, EdD, MSHS, PTA is currently University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB)’s Director of the Office of Interprofessional Education and Practice and the Quality Enhancement Plan at the Health Education Center, where she leads innovative interprofessional collaborative practice and research among five UTMB schools. Ashley completed her doctoral dissertation on interprofessional team communication during simulation and psychological safety to increase patient safety. She directed the clinical education program at Houston Community College's Physical Therapist Assistant Program. Ashley’s 20-plus years of clinical and educational leadership strongly support research-based interprofessional clinical simulation, innovative technology, and faculty development.

Migraine is the third most prevalent disorder affecting 15% of Americans.
