Gerald Simons is a Clinical Assistant Professor and an award winning PA located at Stony Brook Southampton. He has a passion for community outreach, and has been an advocate for public health programs in Eastern Long Island for more than 20 years. He has a particular interest in the prevention of tick borne disease, especially in underserved populations. In clinical practice, he is sought after for his innovative approaches to managing the gut microbiome.

This lightning talk will describe the design, implementation and evaluation of an interprofessional (IP) practice-education partnership in public libraries known as the Stony Brook Medicine Healthy Libraries Program (HeLP).
