Dr. Trujillo is Associate Dean for Education and Professor of Clinical Pharmacy at the University of Colorado Skaggs School of Pharmacy. A clinical pharmacist and member of the interprofessional team at the CU Diabetes and Endocrinology Clinic, she specializes in diabetes pharmacotherapy and advanced management. Board-certified in pharmacotherapy, she is also an advanced diabetes manager and certified diabetes care and education specialist. With 70+ peer-reviewed publications, her work spans diabetes care, curricular design, education and assessment.

Person-centeredness is essential to holistic health care and requires collaboration of healthcare professionals, patients, and caregivers. The University of Colorado (CU) delivers a one-credit Interprofessional Collaborative Practice (IPCP) course for 650 first-year students from dentistry, medicine, nursing, pharmacy, physician assistant, and physical therapy programs.
