Katelyn Reinhart, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC, is an experienced family nurse practitioner with seven years of clinical practice in primary care, delivering comprehensive care to patients across the lifespan. She joined the OSF Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Education Department in 2023, where she contributes to APP clinical training, professional development, and the OSF APP fellowship programs, while also maintaining her clinical practice. Outside of her professional responsibilities, Katelyn enjoys cardiac endurance sports, gardening, and spending quality time with her family.

In the fast-paced world of urgent and primary care, maintaining procedural competency is essential for delivering high-quality and efficient patient care. The OSF APP Education Department developed a program, APP Skills Day, in response to feedback from outpatient providers and learners regarding skills in which they feel underprepared to perform or frequently refer patients elsewhere for evaluation and management.
