Assistant Professor and Director of Education and Outcomes for the Department of Physician Assistant Studies at UT Health San Antonio. Specializing in interprofessional education, community outreach, and innovative educational design. She is the Principal Investigator for a SAMHSA funded grant on Substance Use Education in the Interprofessional Setting (SEIS) and the current Co-PI 5 community-service learning projects funded by Interprofessional Networks for Collaboration (LINC) Grants at her institution. She has over 25 years of experience in Primary Care, Urgent Care, and Emergency Medicine as a Physician Assistant with National Certification and currently licensed to practice in the state of Texas.

The Integrative Clinical Care Experience in Rural Texas (ICCERT) is a HRSA-funded, interprofessional initiative designed to increase the capacity of physician assistant (PA) students to identify, treat, and manage substance use disorders (SUD) in rural communities.
