Lynn Timko-Swaim is a Physician Assistant who worked in internal medicine and then in academia at Stony Brook University, where she is currently the Vice Chair of the PA Program. Lynn is the founder and was the Program Director of the PA Post-Professional Master’s Program from 2007-2022. She is currently the Chair of the School Health Professions APT Committee and an active member on PA state and national organization scholarship committees. Lynn enjoys leading PA students in service activities such as the Stony Brook Medicine Healthy Libraries Program. Her current scholarly interests include diversity, health literacy, and blood pressure measurement/education.

This lightning talk will describe the design, implementation and evaluation of an interprofessional (IP) practice-education partnership in public libraries known as the Stony Brook Medicine Healthy Libraries Program (HeLP). HeLP is an experiential IPE program in which teams of nursing, public health, social work, and physician assistant students and faculty collaborate to provide evidence-based health information, blood pressure screening and link library patrons to care.
