Natalie received her Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from Macalester College in St. Paul, MN, and later went on to receive her Master of Social Work degree with a Community Practice concentration from the University of Minnesota. Natalie is currently the Student Engagement Coordinator at the Center for Health Interprofessional Programs (CHIP) and strives to bring her social work ethics and values to the world of higher education. Her background in long-term care has taught her the value of interprofessional teamwork, particularly when it comes to improving patient care, which inspires her to help develop interprofessional competencies in future clinicians.

Recognizing that in 2020 we would have a new Health Science Education Center (HSEC), we knew this was an opportunity to study the effects of the building on the informal interactions that students have with each other.
