Dr. Hill has a replete background as a research investigator, clinician, and biostatistician. He spent 32 years in the US Army (active component), as a Physician Assistant and Epidemiologist. He now serves in a myriad of research and teaching roles within UT Health Science Center San Antonio.

The Integrative Clinical Care Experience in Rural Texas (ICCERT) is a HRSA-funded, interprofessional initiative designed to increase the capacity of physician assistant (PA) students to identify, treat, and manage substance use disorders (SUD) in rural communities.
