Reese Hamilton is a third-year dental student at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Dentistry, set to graduate in 2027, with a deep commitment to leadership, service, and the integration of oral and systemic health. She currently serves as President of the Interprofessional Association for Oral and Systemic Health (IAOSH), having previously held the role of Event Coordinator. Reese is also the Orthodontic Interest Club Secretary, an Operative Tutor, and a UTHSC Ambassador, representing the college in academic and professional outreach. She is actively involved in community engagement as the College of Dentistry representative for Health Students Teaching Memphis Youths, a student-led initiative that provides health education to underserved youth, and she serves on the Interprofessional Education (IPE) Student Council as the College of Dentistry representative, promoting collaboration across health professions. In addition to her current roles, Reese has previously served as ASDA Pre-Dental Day Chairman, where she mentored aspiring dental students, and held both President and Philanthropy Chairman positions for the Student Dental Association at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. She is a member of the Women in Dentistry Club and is passionate about promoting diversity, inclusion, and mentorship in dentistry. Reese’s wide-ranging involvement reflects her dedication to improving patient care through interdisciplinary collaboration, educational outreach, and leadership development. Through her academic involvement, philanthropy, and interdisciplinary leadership, Reese strives to bridge the gap between systemic and oral health and to enhance patient care, which would contribute meaningfully to the future of dentistry.

This Lightning Talk will cover the formation of a student chapter of the American Academy for Oral Systemic Health (AAOSH) by dental students at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC), which is referred to as the Interprofessional Association for Oral and Systemic Health (IAOSH).
