Dr. Simone Seward, DrPH, MPH, is an Assistant Professor of Public Health and Preventive Medicine and Director of the Community-Engaged Learning Program at Upstate Medical University. Her work focuses on advancing racial equity in maternal health through interprofessional education and community-engaged practice. With over 20 years of experience across public health systems, Dr. Seward leads collaborative, cross-sector initiatives that center the voices of underserved communities. She develops innovative, equity-driven learning experiences that prepare future health professionals to work across disciplines to reduce maternal mortality and racial disparities. Her leadership bridges academia and community to drive systemic change in health outcomes.
