Siri Schroeder is a Career Counselor in the Pre-Health Student Resource Center, supporting undergraduate students to explore, prepare for, and apply to health professional programs. Siri has a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Chicago and a Bachelor of Social Work degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She brings perspectives from working on a skilled nursing unit social services team during the COVID-19 pandemic, an experience that cultivated her passion for interprofessional collaboration and supporting future health professionals to navigate the social and relational dimensions of healthcare.

The University of Minnesota is a leader in developing interprofessional education for students in health professional programs. However, fewer opportunities exist for undergraduate pre-health students to learn about the collaborative nature of healthcare and prepare for the increasing interprofessional practice education in health programs.
