Victoria Hornyak, PT, DPT, GCS is an Associate Professor in the Department of Physical Therapy and a Co-Director of the Center for Interprofessional Education and Practice at the University of Pittsburgh. She earned her Master’s in Physical Therapy from Duquesne University and Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Temple University. Her responsibilities in the DPT curriculum include the management of geriatric clients throughout the continuum of care, and the Patient Management course series, which places an emphasis on inpatient settings such as acute care, long-term care and rehabilitation. Dr. Hornyak’s interprofessional education interests include curriculum design, implementation and evaluation.

Demands on interprofessional leaders in healthcare and education have significantly worsened the problem of burnout.
