Zachary Zahos, PhD is Academic Program Specialist at the University of Wisconsin-Madison's Center for Interprofessional Practice and Education (CIPE), where he helps develop, implement, administer, coordinate, evaluate, and improve the Center's many programs and initiatives. In addition to his administrative experience, he is a seasoned teacher, researcher, and student mentor. He received his MA and PhD in Communication Arts from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and his BA in English and Performing & Media Arts from Cornell University.

This Lightning Talk will describe how our institution uses a mock debate between various interprofessional health profession learners to explore the ethical considerations of whether an individual should be listed on a transplant registry. This unique format simulates discussions that often take place during ethics consults and challenges students to apply their individual professions’ codes of conduct to a realistic case while working as part of an interprofessional team.
